Earn rewards for trading during a DeadRare season.
From time to time DeadRare runs reward seasons to thank active traders and grow the Alephium NFT ecosystem. This page explains how a season works. Specifics — dates, token name and multipliers — are announced on Twitter and in Discord at the start of each season.
How a season works
The idea is simple: trade on DeadRare, earn reward tokens, and share in the platform's trading fees.
- A fixed number of reward tokens is distributed every day of the season.
- Each day's tokens are split between traders in proportion to the $ALPH volume they traded that day, across all collections.
- At the end of the season, the trading fees collected during it are used to give the reward tokens real value (see below).
The DeadRare team holds zero reward tokens — 100% goes to traders.
Earning tokens
You earn simply by completing trades on https://deadrare.io/. The $ALPH value of each trade counts toward your daily total. Because rewards are shared out per day, being a consistent trader across many days earns far more than topping a single day.
How fees flow back to holders
At the end of the season, DeadRare uses the trading fees accumulated during it to buy back the reward tokens — typically via a single large buy order on CandySwap for the full supply. Bought‑back tokens are then burned or folded into the next distribution. In effect, the more the platform is traded, the more value flows back to the people who traded it.
You're free to hold your reward tokens into the next season if you'd rather speculate that fees — and therefore buybacks — will grow.
Multipliers
Seasons often include a multiplier mechanic to reward holders of a featured collection. For example, trading a specific NFT (such as a DRGN) during a season can grant a 10× multiplier on all of your trading volume for that day, shown as a flame next to your address on the rewards leaderboard.
Multiplier NFTs are usually single‑use for the season — each one can activate the boost once, and only for the day it was traded. Check the season announcement for the exact rules.
