For collectors

How can I contact DeadRare?

The best way to reach us is through our Discord. Drop your question in the support channel and a manager will help you out.

What is the "floor" price?

The floor price is the lowest price an NFT in a collection is currently listed for. It is specific to DeadRare and may differ from other marketplaces.

Why does it cost a small amount of $ALPH to list an NFT?

Listing an NFT creates a smart contract on Alephium, which requires a small network storage deposit (currently 0.1 $ALPH) set by the Alephium protocol. The deposit is held in the contract and returned to you when the NFT sells or you delist — it is not a fee that DeadRare keeps.

What does "mint price + deposit" mean?

Every NFT minted on Alephium is its own smart contract, and each one carries the small refundable storage deposit. So if you mint 2 NFTs at 5 $ALPH each in one transaction, the total is roughly 5 + 0.1 + 5 + 0.1 = 10.2 $ALPH, plus a little gas.

What is the "average sale" statistic?

It is the average sale price of a collection over the past 24 hours.

How do I delist or change the price of a listing?

Go to My Wallet, open the Wallet tab, and select the listed NFT. From its card you can delist or set a new price — then approve the transaction in your wallet. See Selling & Listing for the full walkthrough.

I sold an NFT — how long until I receive the funds?

Instantly. DeadRare settles every trade through smart contracts, so payment lands in your wallet the moment the sale confirms. You can find the record under Activity, or on the Explorer.

I clicked "Sell" but nothing happens / it just spins.

This is almost always one of three things:

  1. You haven't set an asking price.
  2. You still need to approve the transaction in your Alephium wallet.
  3. You don't have enough $ALPH to cover the gas fee.
How long does a listing stay up?

Indefinitely. A listing only ends when the NFT is purchased or you withdraw it.

Why did the owner address on my NFT change?

When you list an NFT, it is transferred to the marketplace smart contract, so its owner address temporarily shows the marketplace rather than you. You can delist at any time to bring it back.

What is a transaction hash?

It is the unique id of an on‑chain transaction — think of it as a receipt for any purchase, sale or interaction. If a manager is helping you, they may ask for it. You'll find it under My Wallet → Activity, shown as a link.

What are gas fees?

Every interaction on DeadRare is a transaction on Alephium, and the network charges a tiny fee to process it. Fees are minimal, but you always need a little $ALPH in your wallet to cover them.

My offer disappeared and I didn't get an NFT or my $ALPH back.

Offers behave like sales. The usual cause is that the NFT you bid on was delisted or sold to someone else — at which point your offer is returned to you immediately. You'll see the refund in your transactions on the Explorer.

I'm having trouble delisting or withdrawing an offer.

Try these in order:

  1. Disconnect and reconnect your wallet.
  2. Make sure you sign the confirmation transaction in your wallet.
  3. Clear your browser cache, or try an incognito window — it is often a stale cache.

For creators

Can my project mint on DeadRare?

Yes. Start at https://deadrare.io/collection/create and follow the Minting a Collection guide. If you'd rather not handle the technical steps yourself, we have a tech consultant who can do it for you.

How long does the listing/approval process take?

Usually only a few minutes once a team member is online in Discord. Reach out in the new‑listing channel and we'll get you sorted.

Why does it cost a small amount of $ALPH to create a collection?

Creating the collection smart contract requires the same refundable network storage deposit (currently 0.1 $ALPH) that all Alephium contracts do. It is held in the contract, not taken by DeadRare.

The rarities for my collection look wrong — can they be changed?

DeadRare uses its own standardised rarity method, so rankings can differ from other sites. As a project owner you can adjust the weighting of each layer, but individual trait values are fixed. See Rarity Scores.

How do I collect my royalties?

Royalties accumulate in your collection contract and can be withdrawn from the Creator Dashboard. See Managing Your Collection → Withdraw.

Is there a whitelist feature?

Not directly — but you can achieve the same thing with a private collection. New collections are private by default until the team approves them, so you can share the private link (e.g. in a whitelist channel) before it goes live. Because private links can be guessed, either set the price very high and lower it at launch, or submit shortly before launch and let us know so we approve it at the right time.

Can I limit how many NFTs each wallet can mint?

No — a per‑wallet mint cap isn't enforceable on‑chain, since anyone can create additional wallet addresses.

My collection needs to go live at a specific time — is that possible?

Yes. Message the new‑listing channel in Discord with your project name and the exact go‑live time including timezone (e.g. 1st January, 8pm UTC), and we'll approve it to launch on schedule.
